That day was cold when i wore this outfit. Everyhing i wore including puffer jacket are thrifted! Well, except underwears, socks, backpack, and gloves haha. I am that thrifty, am I not. I took most of photos inside the house but I really wore it outside.

I actually call puffer jacket a squeezzy jacket, or I like it more bomber jacket due to its shape. In Austria they call it also Steppjacke (quilted jacket). I see it is in trend right now, but despites, i've been always loving it. I just got this coincidentally at Naschmarkt in Vienna. Nobody wanted it so it layed on the ground for free. Only later on I realized, it has some holes already, the down and feather filling has been leaking, but I determined to mend it (a DIY idea came to mind), but anyway, it still works well to keep me warm. 

Previously I had worn this jacket trough the stormy snowy day, and it works indeed well to protect me. In addition, I sprayed it with impregnation liquid before. I should probably share you my outfit on that day first.

or tucked out?

This jacket is from label Ecko Red. It has zipped around detachable hip lining with front buttons fastening, so i guess it's actually a ski/snowboard jacket (?), but I think silhouette wise, I wear better without it. (See second pic from the bottom, it's not flattering, or blame it to my awkward pose)

What i like more about this jacket is the durable (despite some holes) fabric, adjustable draw cord around the hood (and the hood is big enough to accomodate my big bun), nice crystal detail and embroidery the label (little details count!) and two pockets with top flaps roomy enough for my pocket camera and smartphone.

The length with the zipped off hip lining is not flattering on me or it's just my awkward pose, because a car was coming then stopped and I was shy

I bought the J. Crew plaid shirt in Pfennigbasaar, Stuttgart. I initially bought it for my sister, and it's J. Crew, label i've been long curious to try. It was great chance to find American labels clothing in charity market from American Community, although if they are available in Europe too. Anyway, my sister didn't want it, so it really became my chance to try. It fits nicely loose but i guess not sloppy. Very comfortable. I've been into plaid shirts when i thrifted there.

The loop scarf i bought in annual charity market in Eichgraben. It's from Cecil. I wasn't sure about the abstract print and colors before, didn't know why i bought it, but turned out it was very comfortable and has the right dimension as a loop scarf, as hood, as an arm cover or even as a skirt! It's not a very thick and warm scarf, so it would be nice for spring and summer too.

The jeans is XXL Denim by Forever 21, and the fleece headband is super comfortable, fluffy and covers my ears nicely,  both i found in Pfennigbasaar Stuttgart.

The boots was long time ago thrifted in annual Fleamarket in Tulln. Unbranded. They are getting too big now, i don't know why. Most of my boots are getting too big! Do my feet shrink?

The 2 in 1 gloves/mittens were not thrifted but i bought them in sales in Accessorize shop in Stuttgart.  It was Bought 3 Pay 2 Promotion. I bought the gloves 2 and 1 pairs were for my sister. They were soon become my favorite, because it's warm  (with few percentages of cashmere) and i can easily open the mitten front to uncover the fingers to do something on smartphone, for example, until along the way i realized, i need more of using my thumbs and i need to pull off the whole gloves to have so.

Lastly is my hair, i styled it side braid this time. My problem with it is that it got caught on the zipper quite often haha.

Winter Outfit with Panda Beanies, Wool Blazer, Vintage White Blouse and Leather Boots

Hi everyone,
It's been long time! Now i finally give blogging one more chance. I lost words to make it its own post, so I will just jump to this winter outfit of mine.

I have a long hair now, it hits my hip. The problem with mine being this long but frizzy is it's caught on everything, if you let it open. It's the same kind of annoying thing you'll encounter with sand haha.

I wore this blazer jacket (looks like a military style blazer) from Mango. It doesn't feature zipper but it doesn't mean caught free. Some hairs would always find their way to stuck on the buttons or between the detachable knit scarf. I ended up put my hair on a top bun most of the time, because this hair style is the most huzzle free for me, except one thing: my hats won't fit anymore.

Here I wore my panda beanies. I really wanted to wear this, so I wore my hair down in a tail, and because it was so windy along the way I wrap my hair as a scarf. In balance, this is one of the advantage to have a long hair. Instead of my usual hair bun, I had then pom-poms, not only one but two pom-poms. They are the panda ears, you see. However, only after I looked my self on the toilet mirror in a caffe, I realized I missed one pom-pom! I lost it just after i took the selfie you see here. Thankfully the woman in the bakery shop found it on the floor, but i let it like that in the meantime. It made sense, because my panda beanies has one eye covered, so why not one pom-pom on the same side too.

Talking again about my jacket, the cut fits well and looked like as it lengthened my torso a bit. The fabric is wool blend with lining and it's warm, plus the detachable little knit scarf, but it's not enough to help me with the freezing.

I thrifted my white blouse in Pfennigbasaar in Stuttgart, an annual charity market from the American Community. It looks vintage (probably it is), I find the lace details on the wrists and along the hem are very pretty, don't you think so? Its fabric is thick cotton so it's opaque which I prefer. 💖

Down to the boots, i got them also in Pfennigbasaar, and I paid nothing for! They throw them in the giveaway box. I saw about three pairs of black boots, but only on these ones I saw no defects. However, when I tried them on, I felt one of the ankle frame was folded inwards. Luckily, it happened to be no problem. After I cleaned them (they even looked clean like new) and stored them with a plastic boots storage inserts, the folded frame seemed to be back in place. I'm happy with these boots. They are comfortable my feet don't slip forward, but the soles are soft so when there are gravels, I feel them  trough the soles, especially in this winter time when gravels are poured on the pedestrian road to anticipate slipping danger.

Oh..and my jeans were also thrifted in Pfennigbasaar hahaha. I did bring home quite a lot from there. Not as many as I thought to be though. Anyway, turned out, they are XXL Denim from Forever 21.

Outfit: Texture of Adventure

Hi. This is a different combination of items I wore in previous posts (I just reuse bag and shoes close up pics from my Shabby Garden look). I love the rough textures mix of linen, thick denim, worn out canvas, leather and suede. I think it gives a sense of adventure, a trace of memorable journey (I'm still curious about what story it might be which left a cigarette hole on the bag). Here, for example, I've been wearing it off-road in the woods, just near our home hahaha. In fact, each item is super comfy, durable and functional, yet has affordable price. I did hope I looked mature enough in this casual outfit.

Canvas bag: €1 thrifted in Naschmarkt, Vienna.
Suede shoes: Timberland (old).

The highest price range in this ensemble is the Timberland shoes, but they worth the price for their comfort. The fact that mine are gift from my sister (knew it!) is lucky me, hehehe. I've been hearing a lot of good review about Timberland shoes therefore I really want to try.

Talking about suede leather, I love its look and durability. The down sides are dirt and stain often difficult to clean and prone to mildew.  Upon wearing, either it would look gross, or good one, if the worn out marks would be like aging gracefully. I don't know how these shoes looked like when they were new, but my sister must have done something great.

There are a lot of outdoor shoes made of suede. With the right treatment and  maintenance, they last long and even can be water resistant. However, for other type of suede shoes especially with light color I avoid wearing them in wet, muddy condition or salty road.

Linen and canvas are also durable, but the colored ones can easily fade and look dull upon wearing. Seems like I just did experiment with a total worn out textures mixed all together.in an outfit ensemble. Perhaps I should wear ripped off washed out jeans too. Still I wish my own skin is smoother. :-)

Garden Tulln

Kring kring from Die Garten Tulln.

Hi, everyone.

Today I take you to Die Garten Tulln, a beautiful garden in Tulln, Lower Austria. It was beautiful day  (and hot) when I and my husband strolled around from garden to another garden. Each garden has different style or theme but all of them are very nice for photoshoot spot. There are shabby chic, mediteranean, asian, vegetable garden, minimalist style, etc. My favorites are the dahlia and roses garden. The massive big flowers and colors are spectacular, we were just at the right time. Unfortunately I couldn't find cactus garden except a small corner in a glass room. I would love it if there was.

What I wore that day:

• Linen jacket: LOGG by H&M
• Long arm Tee with crochet details: I forget the brand. Old piece of mine I bought in Indonesia.
• Jeans: CCS Legay Flex, a quick secondhand snap at Pfenniq Bazaar in Stuttgart (€5 for whatever clothes you can fully stuff into a paper bag)
• Hat: Triset (bought in Indonesia)
• Sneakers: ASICS
• Sunglasses and camera pouch: Claire's. I bought at the mall but Claire's has online shop with international delivery here. They have cute and affordable accessories. Things I bought from it are happened to be my fave and I wear very often (this is not ad or affiliate). 
• Backpack: Kipling

Tips:

• Die Garten Tulln opens every year from April until early October but you may want to have a chance to attend a garden exhibition (Gartenbaumesse) at one go. If you purchase entry ticket Die Garten Tulln you can use it as entry to the exhibition too, the exhibition only take few days so you need to check the schedule if you like to see. I know my post is too late :) but who knows you would like to go there someday in the future. For more information this is the official site: www.diegartentulln.at and events/exhibition in Tulln.
• In front of the entry gate you can rent a canoe and rowing around the river.
• Die Garten Tulln is not far from the town center. You can wandering around trough the nature path, or rent a bike (great place for biking), or take a free mini tourist train. There are nature swimming pool, shops, caffes, delicious ice creams, beautiful park along the huge river, a restaurant in a ship, stage, and Egon Schiele museum.

Beside beautiful garden you can also take a high step up to the top of tower and look down and around (or use the lift).

There is also a restaurant facing a pool with its fountain attraction. It seems like the vegetables are picked from its own garden. my husband ordered Apfelstrudel (a must taste if you are in Austria). Unfortunately I only tried the pumpkin soup because I didn't feel well enough to eat more. I had suffered nausea since the night before, vomitted over and over again after I ate ginger chocolate followed by roiboos tea straight afterwards. I don't know what was wrong. 

Lately I have attended some exhibitions, shows, movies and other events but my outfits and photos were unfortunate hahaha, not sure if I should share you too many flop fashion stories or crappy pictures :-), I am afraid you will leave worse than uninspired. 7 Ways to Wear Scarf

7 ways to wear scarf.

Few days ago I have a little experiment with my Levi's long cotton scarf (186 cm x 65 cm). I would like to find some alternatives to cover my arms in the summer to slightly protect  my skin from the sun and chilly breezy wind.

Scarf 1

Scarf 1. I put the scarf over my shoulder and secured it around my waist with a belt. Then I threw the other edge over my other shoulder and slipped it trough the belt and/or belt loop of my pants.  A brooch would be pretty to secure it.

Scarf 2 & 3

Scarf 2 is the basic start of scarf 1 and 3. See the top left pic above. I like to let it fall down long at front and cover my belly.

Scarf 3 is basically the same way as Scarf 1 but I turned the back side around as the front side. In the winter with a warmer scarf I can use the front fold as a muff or like a hoodie jumper pocket to keep my hands warm. For a moment I thought I would just leave the back opened but maybe I need to pin it if I can't keep it staying put on my shoulders.

Scarf 4 & 5

Scarf 4 is the start of scarf 6. See top left pic above. I just wrapped the scarf around my neck twice and the hanging part covered my chest and belly like a halter vest.

Scarf 5. From the scarf 4 I continue the steps by pulling the two "wings" over my shoulders and arms. In this style I love that my neck is also covered but I am afraid that it would kill me if I let it pulled from left and right. Am I paranoid? I often wear my scarf pretty much like that though. Anyway, a brooch would keep it safe. The back side somehow looks like a ladybug costume  :-).

Scarf 6

Scarf 6 is also easy but easy to slip off my shoulders as well. I didn't find it difficult to knot the scarf around my both wrists.

Scarf 7

Scarf 7. I hope you could figure out your self how I did the wrap by seeing the pictures. I have difficulty to explain it in words and actually, there are no exact rules. :) To me this one looks like some traditional outfits in Asia. It only covers one shoulder but I like the result, though I don't like that my bloating stomach looks obvious as I have flat chest too (maybe it would be cute as maternity outfit).

On The Yellow Carpet Under The Sunshine

The yard turned into a yellow floral carpet. It was a bright day, when the shadows met the sunlight. I was in between. I tried to capture the beauty in my surrounding as well as took some selfies with self timer and my lil pocket cam on the grass. We have some good laughs. Leather jacket is a nice season transition garment. It protects me from the heat and cold winds.This one I got when I thrifted in Vienna. It's a bit heavy, the leather is thick and durable with synthetic lining fabric.

Update about my straw hat, I found it in a fleamarket in around Sankt Poelten. I wanted to try so the nice guy who sold it took me to where a mirror on the wall is. Somehow I was shy to see my face there  hehehe. When I wanted to put it back, the guy asked me, "Do you like it?" and then...he said, "I give it to you."  :-). So lovely. I wore it around since, lucky and happy. Happy holiday to you!
